Global-Player.com shutdown after eight years of online Keluaran HK casino business

Global-Player.com was launched in 1999 and is licensed in the Caribbean island of Antigua. The company originally used its own software but then switched to Boss Media earlier this year for its online casino and poker operations.

Afters eight years in online casino operation, the online gaming firm, Universal Gaming Concepts Inc. has announced the closure of its online casino, Global-Player.com. The online gaming company decided to close its doors after evaluating economic issues in the business.

Chief Executive Officer for Universal Gaming Concepts, Giancarlo Bettini, said, “The current changes in the legal and economic landscape of the gaming industry has made it increasingly difficult for us to compete and retain our market share.”

“The strategic decision to cease operations while we are still in the position to satisfy our obligations to players, vendors, affiliates and staff reinforces our integrity and commitment to good business practices,” Bettini added.

Current Keluaran HK customers of Global-Player.com can cash out their account balances immediately, and requests will continue to be processed until December 30, 2007.

A statement on the website says, “Your account balance is available for immediate payout and you are encouraged to process your payout immediately to avoid delay.”

The statement continues, “If you have not requested your funds prior to our closing date, you must contact Support@Global-Player.com to have your payout requests processed manually.”

Full Tilt Poker Software Upgrade

Online poker room Full Tilt released a major software upgrade today, with a number of nice (albeit small) new features, including auto-rebuy options for ring games, SNG rematches, login history and more.

New features of the new Full Tilt Poker software includes the ability to set a predetermined amount (number of big blinds, as in 10 times the big blind, or 20 times the big blind, etc.) for future buy-in’s. Once you’ve set up your preference through the Full Tilt Poker lobby (under preferences) the software will default to that preference for all future buy ins.

Full Tilt Poker Heads up Sit n Go Rematches. Following every heads up sit n go match each player will be asked if they’d like to rematch.

Automatic Rebuys in Full Tilt Poker ring games (cash games). Pokerstars “Fast” table players will be familiar with this option, when you a player bites the felt (or loses all their chips) in a regular ring poker game, they are automatically rebought back in. The money to cover the rebuy is taken from the players account.

Holding your mouse over a players avatar will now reveal the country that player is playing from in addition to the player notes stored for each player. This is not a preference or an option, can’t be turned off.

A new online poker security option has also been added, if your balance looks a little funky, or if you just like to keep track of your account, Full Tilt now also offers players a history of their logins, Login history can be found in the new Full Tilt Poker software under requests. The last 20 times a player has logged into their account will be shown in addition to the last 20 IP addresses and countries the account was logged into from.

Additionally, hand histories for Sit n Go type tournaments are now shown from the beginning of the tournament, right up to the moment the table is broken down.

It’s also rumored that Full Tilt intends to add deal making abilities to the software in the coming future.

Players and too much stress, defeats and money at casino en ligne

Too much stressIf you hit a pinball machine too hard, a sign flashes “Tilt”, and the machine stops working. When a poker player gets hit by too much stress, the effects can be almost as visible and much more destructive. If you tilt a pinball machine, you lose a little pleasure. If you go on tilt in poker, you can blow your bankroll or, if it is too extreme or lasts too long, even lose your home or business. Because luck has such huge short-term effects, you can go on tilt without losing any money this time, and you might not even realize that you’re off balance. However, since the danger is so great, you must constantly watch out for it.

Most of us have experienced brief periods of tilt, and some players have lost control for weeks, even moving to larger games or switching to the craps tables, trying desperately to get even. Since tilt is so common and destructive, this four-part series will cover all the major issues:

Avoiding it

Creating it

Exploiting it

Coping with it

The series starts and ends by discussing ourselves, while the middle two parts focus on other people. Of course, we profit when other people go on tilt, but avoiding it or coping with our own emotions is much more important. We can gain a little from another person’s foolishness, but if we go on tilt and stay there, we can lose a great deal.

Definition

“Tilt” means that someone is playing very differently and much more poorly than usual, and most people use the term only for playing too many hands too aggressively. If someone is always wildly aggressive, he’s not on tilt. He’s just playing in his usual, maniacal way.

I’ll use a broader definition: “Tilt” means someone is making plays for emotional reasons that he would not normally make. Wild aggression is just its most visible form. Another form is to become so upset, frightened, or convinced you can’t win that you “play scared.” You might fold good draws with pot odds or not raise with pocket kings. Your play deteriorates so much that the “I can’t win” belief becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. This form of tilt is less dramatic and noticeable than wild aggression, but it can be equally destructive. Perhaps you won’t have such dramatic short-term losses, but because it is harder to recognize, this form of tilt can last much longer, slowly destroying your bankroll.

Avoiding is Much Better Than Coping

Of course, you must learn how to cope with tilt, but avoiding it is much better. Good professionals emphasize preventing problems more than solving them. Good dentists tell us to brush and floss. Good doctors recommend diet and exercise. Good lawyers try to keep us out of court. Exactly the same principle applies here: If you wait until you’re on tilt before taking corrective action, some of the damage will have already been done, and your problems will be MUCH harder to solve. So, stop tilt before it starts.

Knowledge is Your First Line of Defense

The first step is to acquire two types of knowledge. First, you need to understand poker thoroughly on casino en ligne. Mason Malmuth once wrote: “Emotional control is … aided by a thorough understanding of how the game should be played.” Without that understanding, you may overreact to events that would not severely upset a more informed player. For example, I’ve read many threads on twoplustwo.com’s forums stating that someone went on tilt because he played well but was beaten by bad luck and stupidity. Yet, the poster’s own words clearly reveal that he played badly and deserved to lose.

Or, take bad-beat stories. Many of them show that the storyteller doesn’t understand the most basic element of poker, the odds. You probably have seen people bitterly complain that they rose with A-Q suited and were called and beaten by an “idiot” with K-2 off suit. They seem to believe that their hand should never lose, but it’s really only about a 2-to-1 favorite, meaning it will lose about one-third of the time. In many situations, the “idiot” would have been absolutely right to call.

If you don’t believe me, go to cardplayer.com and use the “Poker Odds Calculator for Hold’em.” You may be very surprised at how different the odds are from what you believe. And if you don’t understand the odds, you can easily overreact to predictable losses.

The second kind of knowledge can come only from detailed, accurate records of your own results. If you’re a long-term winner, these records will show that the bad beat you just took or tonight’s “huge” loss is trivial, a tiny fraction of your total profits. Even if you’re a long-term loser, good records will show that tonight’s loss isn’t that important. That’s why so many experts recommend treating tonight as just part of one continuous poker game. When you put a bad beat or tonight’s loss into a larger context, you’re much less likely to overreact.

Identify Your “Triggers”

Although a solid foundation of knowledge is essential, it is not enough. By definition, tilt is an emotional overreaction, and emotions obey their own, partly irrational rules. We all have done stupid things for emotional reasons, and we should understand the factors that trigger emotional reactions.

The three most common triggers are alcohol, bad beats, and losing too much money tonight. Alcohol is particularly dangerous because people often think they can “handle it,” even when its effects are obvious to others. The same illogical thinking that makes so many drunk people drive makes them believe, “I can play better drunk than they can play sober.” Other triggers include playing for larger stakes than usual, being “card dead” for hours, obnoxious people, being hungry and/or tired, inept dealers, software problems and bad connections (for online players), and even loud noise or sitting next to an inconsiderate smoker — anything that upsets you. By themselves, none of them may have much effect, but several of them combined can destroy your balance.

Triggers are individualistic, and yours may be quite different from mine. You might not even notice things that really bother me, and vice versa. You should therefore remember what caused past tilts, and then avoid as many triggers as possible. Of course, you can’t avoid bad beats, inept dealers, and some other triggers, but you can avoid alcohol, large losses, and many others.

For example, nearly all of us have a “psychological bankroll,” the amount we can lose without getting severely upset. It is almost always much smaller than our financial bankroll. You might have a $5,000 bankroll, but get very upset by a $300 loss. If you don’t recognize and stay well within your psychological limits, one bad beat can put you on tilt. You might decide to buy more chips than your usual limit because you’ve “got to get even.” Once you start thinking that way, you can lose control, keep buying more chips, go to the ATM, perhaps blow your entire bankroll, and then borrow money. It has happened countless times.

Think About Triggers Before You Start Playing

Some triggers have nothing to do with poker. Problems at home or work, backaches, financial pressures, or anything that troubles you will increase your vulnerability. For example, if you had a bad day at work, argued with your spouse, and have a headache, don’t play poker “to relax.” Instead of relaxing, you could easily become even more tense and play badly; once you do that, it’s just a small step to going on tilt and losing lots of money.

Monitor Yourself

You should constantly monitor both your play and your emotional state. Ask yourself again and again: “How well am I playing?” “Why did I make that last play?” “Am I angry, confused, sleepy, eager for revenge?” “Am I feeling the effects of alcohol?” Many people have taken huge losses because they did not realize how much their drinking or other factors had affected them.

There are lots of similar questions, but most people don’t ask or answer them. The poker culture is extremely anti-introspective. We’d rather focus on how other people think, feel, and act than seriously analyze ourselves. In fact, your opponents will often see that you are on tilt or approaching it long before you do.

When in Doubt, Quit

A later column will focus on what to do when you are clearly on tilt, but don’t wait until you are sure you’re on it. If you see signs that your play is deteriorating, and/or you’re getting upset, go home. I cannot count the number of times that people — including me — have ignored that advice. We may recognize the signs but stay because we won’t admit that we’re not playing our “A-game.” Or, we may think, “Perhaps I’m not playing my best, but this game is too good to leave.” Sometimes we may say it even when the game is too tough for us. We’re so off balance that we can’t assess ourselves or the competition.

You may think I’m being too conservative, but we’ve all seen players who are on tilt lose serious money in wonderful, average, and terrible games. There will always be another poker game, but if you go on tilt and blow your bankroll, you won’t be playing in it.

Discipline – The Secret of a Poker Champ

Playing a winning hand in poker requires a lot of discipline and grace. There is no room for mistakes. A single oversight can kill. It’s not about math or reading your opponents. The most important skill for a winning player is self-control.

Don’t play more than your bank account would allow. Don’t tilt if you feel you should. Don’t crumble after a couple of hands and you’re not winning. Don’t. Don’t. Don’t. But what good does it do if you don’t?

Winning players listen to other people’s bad beat stories. If ever you do, don’t just listen. Evaluate the player’s story. Think about why he lost. While the person may focus on his loss, focus more on “why” he lost. Center your evaluation on the root of the loss. It’s not about the surface flaw. More often than not, it’s two or three steps earlier in the game  togel hongkong when the person made the imminent mistake-a risky or incorrect play in the hand, perhaps. An objective analysis of the game will allow you to get at the root and see the “real” mistake.

While evaluating other people’s play, you also evaluate your own. What you do best, just enough and below expected performance. Try to think of potential ways on how to improve on the three. Poker is a game of chance and versatility. A combination of different techniques and maneuver can be employed to guarantee a winning hand. But as always, you have to go down at the roots.

Game selection or table selection is considered by some as the most significant poker skill. Pick out the game that is best suited to your capabilities, play, and beat the crap out of it. That may be important but it’s nothing compared to the fundamental skill of a real poker winner.

Every game that you play right now is a culmination of all the games you’ve played before. Poker is not a game of the moment. It is a result of your well-conceived strategies and techniques. Playing with regular opponents allow you to set the stage for many tactical plays minutes, hours and months before you totally blow them off. Your previous games is a step up towards leading you to gaining more self-control an the proper attitude. Always set your goal as a winning player while taking into consideration your finances. A positive outlook is needed when playing hands. If you fail on a couple of hands, don’t drown on your emotions. Each game is a separate entity from the previous or next. If all these are set in their proper places, each separate action that you take will be stemmed from a concrete, perceptive foundation.

Discipline brings forth other poker skills, tactics and maneuvers. Every chip of winning strategy and brilliant philosophy should be applied or else, it’s pointless. Everything is wasted if you don’t practice discipline. There is no other way to discipline. Discipline is the only way.

So, if you want to be a perceptive, blissful poker player, work everyday on your self-control-every minute, every hour, everyday.

PartyGaming and Online Casino Singapore Future Bright – HSBC

Analysts at HSBC slapped a price target of 122p on the shares of PartyGaming, saying they saw potential upside of 30% on the share price at levels of 94p.

In a research note initiating coverage with an ‘Overweight’ rating, HSBC – the house broker for 888 Holdings – noted that although the PartyGaming share price has retraced from its July high of 179p, the fall has been overdone.

“We expect continued growth from its current core market [US], benefits from the data mining project started this year and new game offerings will drive top-line growth,” wrote Richard Wainwright, analyst for HSBC.

PartyGaming has been under a cloud since the company issued its interims in September when comments about the future growth prospects triggered a 30% fall in the share price. But Wainwright noted the fears regarding the strength of the poker market have not been borne out by the third-quarter key performance indicators (KPIs) from either PartyGaming or 888.

“PartyGaming’s de-rating has nevertheless had a significant impact on the sector… As a result, we believe the online gaming sector is now relatively undervalued versus its growth rates.”

However, Wainwright says that the sector will need to see a longer series of good KPI numbers and financial performances over a period of 12 months for confidence in the sector to return. Noting the recent US$14.5m PartyGaming deal to acquire MultiPoker, Wainwright added he expected consolidation within the egaming sector to increase and that PartyGaming is likely to be a “key consolidator” within the space.

Meanwhile, the performance of the Empire Online share price this week suggests that many in the City of London are betting against PartyGaming making a substantial offer for the business. At one point on 18 November, the Empire share price slumped to 58.5p, giving it a market cap valuation of around £180m.

PartyGaming Predicts Further Online Casino Singapore Growth

The popularity and proliferation of poker, both on and offline, is expected to continue according to Richard Segal, CEO of PartyGaming – the world’s largest online poker operator for PartyPoker.2005 was a landmark year for online poker and the online gaming industry as a whole. This year saw three large London stock market flotations, generating revenues of around $3.5 billion (2 billion pounds). Moreover, poker games and books are now topping Christmas lists the world over.

At the fore of the online explosion is PartyGaming who are the dominant force in the industry. After a high-profile £4.6 billion flotation in June, the owner of PartyPoker and Starluck Casino saw its market value soar to over £7 billion. The dawning of 2006 promises more exciting – and likely profitable – prospects for PartyGaming with the launch of its new PartyCasino site to run alongside its existing Starluck Casino, as well as two new games.

‘There will be two new products next year… In the first half there will be a person-to-person skill game and in the second half there will be another more akin to casino,” said Segal.

PartyGaming will also launch a ’shared purse’, which will help players switch from game to game. Segal explains, ‘If you want to go from playing on Starluck Casino to PartyPoker, it’s currently the equivalent of going from eBay to Amazon… It’s not just one click away, but that will change.’

What is BlackJack?

Blackjack (also known as twenty-one), is a descendant of Baccarat and Chemin-de-Fer and is often considered one of the world’s most popular casino table games.

Object of the Game

The object of the game is achieve a higher card count than the dealer without exceeding 21.

How to Play

This version of Blackjack uses eight decks of cards.  The deck is shuffled after each hand.

The Bets.  Select an initial bet amount and click Deal to begin the game togel hongkong .  There is a minimum bet of $5 and a maximum bet of $100.

The Cards.  Aces may be considered 1 or 11.  Face cards have a value of 10 and all other cards are counted as their face value.

The Deal.  A card is dealt face up to the player followed by one to the dealer.  A second card is then dealt face up to the player, and a second card face down to the dealer.  At this point, the player may choose to stand or draw one or more cards to improve their hand total.  The dealer takes additional cards only after the player has completed his or her hand(s), following specific rules (see Dealer Strategy below).  The player’s hand is completed when the player:

draws Blackjack (a natural 21 consisting of an Ace and a 10 or face card)

chooses to stand

busts (the hand count exceeds 21).

The winner is determined by which hand’s total is closest to 21. A Blackjack beats all other hands totaling 21 (this applies to the dealer as well). If the both the dealer and player draw a Blackjack, it is a considered a push (tie) and neither hand wins nor loses.

Players Options

The player is initially dealt two cards.  After these cards are dealt, the player has the option of making the following additional wagers:

Splitting Pairs.  This option is available to the player when the two original cards are of the same value (6’s, 8’s, etc).  The player splits the cards into two hands and plays each hand individually.   Additional pairs can not be split again.  A pair of Aces may be split but each Ace receives only one additional card.  Except when splitting Aces, the player has the option to double down (see below) after splitting.  In all cases, the player must wager an additional amount equal to the original bet when splitting.

Double Down.  If the first two cards do not total 21, the player has the option to double down.  Should the player feel that he or she can win with only one additional card, the player may double the original bet and receive one more card.  The player may also double down after splitting a pair unless the pair consists of Aces.  In this case the player is only entitled to receive one card after splitting.

Insurance.  If the dealer’s first visible card is an Ace, the player has the option of buying insurance.  Insurance is a wager equal to one-half the player’s original bet which pays two to one if the dealer draws a Blackjack.  If the dealer does not draw Blackjack, the player loses his or her insurance.
